Chindi, Karsog Valley is about 90 kms from Shimla. Yet it sees only a fraction of the tourists that Shimla does. The pace of life is refreshingly slow here.

Sattal – a cluster of 7 lakes at varying altitudes near Dharali. The only way to reach them is to climb up the mountain. No motor-able roads here.

Harsil is a small hamlet, near Gangotri. There are very few civilian establishments here. No phone connectivity except for BSNL. But, the beauty is unparalleled.

Nelang (Nelong) Valley, near Gangotri is a mini Ladakh. Completely isolated from the world after the ’62 Indo-China war. It was reopened for public only in 2015.
